What If?! Searching for your Lifes’ Purpose was totally missing the point?

Searching for ‘purpose’ in life is one of a human’s greatest drives, to find a place where they feel they are of most worth. To feel useful and appreciated, to know they are valued as a part of life.

Yet ‘Lifes’ Purpose’ is something different.

Lifes’ Purpose is a search for a meaning to everything. A deeper… no, the deepest, level of understanding of exactly what it’s all for, why its all happening, what am I here to do in this vast ocean of life itself?

A whole industry has grown around the ethos of ‘finding you Lifes’ Purpose’ , the solving of which will somehow ease all of our pain, ease every struggle, as if a godly arm has taken us around the shoulder and said “Now don’t you worry anymore, from now on , and for all this lifetime, you’re supposed to be a _____! Now doesn’t that feel better?”

Well, of course it would feel better, because we as human beings hate uncertainty. Uncertainty breeds fear, uncertainty makes us wobble.

But What If?! Living and learning that we’re ok in the grips of that uncertainty IS what our life’s purpose is?

What If? This life is simply all about the living of it.

What If?! Your Life’s Purpose is to Live, to experience life, with all its uncertainty.

What If?! Your Life’s Purpose is to truly live each and every moment, to be LIVING, in each and every breath.

What If?! Searching for your Life’s Purpose… is totally missing the point?
